3 Things I’d Change From The Start of My Business

  1. Create the brand’s DNA. I needed to ask my self harder questions besides the “why am I creating this product?” I needed to connect with my customer and how does my product help others. Many brands, myself included, at one point or another create brands that are a direct reflection of their stories and experiences. Building the foundation of your brand with not only its mission & vision but diving in deeper about how you want your customers to feel.

  2. Invest in myself sooner. One of the best investments I made was hiring a business development coach who evaluated my foundation and we immediately began work on business strategy, crafting pitches, mind-mapping, developing systems and setting goals. It paid off!

  3. Hiring out tasks based on time and value. There’s nothing I want to do less than accounting, bookkeeping and dare I say, make candles! Hiring out an accounting firm and production assistants allowed me to work on parts of my business that brought in revenue. I could re-focus my energy again.
